An Eventful New Cardiovascular Horizons (NCVH) Conference
Thank you to Jay Mathews, MD, MS, FACC, FSCAI, Ashwani Sastry, MD, Michael Siah, MD, and Kevin Herman, MD for sharing their experience and insights at the symposium, “Innovative Tools for Complex BTK (below-the-knee) CLTI (chronic limb-threatening ischemia) disease.” Just one day after the symposium, the FDA granted De Novo clearance for the Spur.

DEEPER LIMUS Trial Final Results
Leyla Schweiger, MD and Marianne Brodmann, MD, both from the Medical University of Graz in Graz, Austria, were the principal investigators for the DEEPER LIMUS trial, and authors of the abstract covering the results of the study. The study evaluated the safety and efficacy of Retrievable Scaffold Therapy combined with sirolimus-coated balloon angioplasty for treating infrapopliteal artery lesions.

Michael Lichtenberg, MD, FESC moderated the session, “Innovative Approaches in Treating BTK CLTI: How to Cross, Access, and Treat,” with Ashwani Sastry, MD Michael Siah, MD, and Daniel van den Heuvel, MD. An excellent live case involving treatment with Spur RST was shown by Andrej Schmidt, MD and Axel Fischer, MD.
