Hands-On Training Shapes the Next Generation of Vascular Experts
Fellows and young physicians gained practical experience in real anatomy during October’s Practical Vascular Trainee Lab (PVTL), led by Kumar Madassery, MD, and supported by Reflow Medical’s dedicated education station. The program strengthened collaboration and skill development in PAD treatment.
AMP Europe 2025: Showcasing CLTI Therapy Innovation
As the European extension of the Amputation Prevention Symposium (AMP), this year’s meeting once again highlighted the exceptional expertise and progress in advancing CLTI care. Standout moments included Dr. Michael Lichtenberg’s Spur® Live-in-a-Box case and Prof. Andrej Schmidt’s insights on the Wingman™ CTO Crossing Catheter.
TCT® 2025: A Major Milestone for Spur Elute and RST
At the TCT Late-Breaking session, Dr. Scott Harding presented the first-in-human results of the Spur Elute Coronary Sirolimus-Eluting Retrievable Scaffold System. This marks a pivotal moment for the advancement of Retrievable Scaffold Therapy (RST) in the treatment of in-stent restenosis (ISR). The early experience demonstrated acute safety and highly promising performance, representing an important step toward a new therapeutic option for ISR.
VIVA 2025: Late-Breaking Results Highlight Progress for Spur Stent
At last year’s VIVA Late-Breaking Session, Mahmood Razavi, MD presented the six-month outcomes of the DEEPER REVEAL Trial, showcasing the Spur Stent, our Breakthrough Device used after predilatation. The results sparked intense podium discussion, based on the excellent wound healing rate of 74.2 percent in these CLTI patients. These outcomes underscore the strong clinical potential of Spur in BTK care.
VEITH 2025: Important Insights on Why Spur is a Stent
At the VEITH Symposium, Anahita Dua, MD delivered a powerful presentation on why the Spur Stent is needed in BTK CLTI care. She highlighted its mechanical effects, reduced recoil, and the meaningful clinical improvements observed in the DEEPER OUS and DEEPER REVEAL trials. Her talk reinforced a key point: Spur is a stent and its mechanical impact drives improved outcomes.
Kickoff: Our BTK CLTI Peer-to-Peer Workshop Series in the US
Todd Berland, MD, and Patrick Muck, MD opened our new BTK CLTI workshop series with highly practical Spur Stent cases and real-world case exchanges. Over the coming months, additional peer-to-peer sessions will follow in cath labs across the United States, featuring experts such as Fadi Saab, MD, Kevin Herman, MD, and Michael Siah, MD.
PVI Course Paris - Congress Highlights
At the Paris Vascular Insights Course in December, we showcased clinical evidence, real-world experience, and practical insights across BTK CLTI and complex lower-limb interventions. This included presentations from the DEEPER OUS and DEEPER REVEAL trials as well as live cases and sessions with Spur RST, Wingman and our PVI portfolio. It was also a great opportunity to connect with top experts.
PVI Course Paris 2025: Exploring Techniques and Real-World Insights at Innovation Box
At PVI, Reflow Medical hosted a full day inside the Innovation Box, a dedicated breakout space where leading international experts shared practical experience and real-world strategies for complex lesion treatment. Attendees explored advanced Spur RST approaches for BTK CLTI treatment, expert Wingman techniques for crossing difficult CTOs, and highly practical guidance from live and recorded cases. The Innovation Box offered one of the most dynamic and hands-on educational experiences at PVI 2025.
SITE 2025: Live Spur RST Case Highlights Long-term Patency
At SITE 2025 in Barcelona, Marc Sirvent, MD, presented a Spur RST case during a live transmission, showing excellent long-term patency in the ATA segment. With collaboration from World Medica, the meeting offered an impactful platform to advance endovascular care.
Tri-Nation Vascular Meeting: Spur RST Workshop Highlights
Vascular surgeons from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland gathered at this year’s meeting in Lucerne, where Prof. Konstantinos Donas delivered an outstanding Peer-to-Peer Workshop on Spur RST and BTK treatment in CLTI. Clinical insights, case discussions, and active interactions were featured.
On Demand: Mastering Complex CTO Crossings with Wingman
Advanced CTO crossing techniques using the Wingman CTO Crossing Catheter are shown in a new Vascupedia session led by Naoki Hayakawa, MD with Bruno Migliara, MD moderating. Dr. Hayakawa’s insights into crossing algorithms, handling strategies, and real-world cases show how Wingman can become a true “Wingmaster” in challenging CTOs.
Published in the Journal of Cardiovascular Surgery: New Clinical Overview on RST
A new article by Daniel van den Heuvel; MD, Olaf Bakker, MD; Larry Miller, PhD, PStat; and Jos van den Berg, MD outlines how Retrievable Scaffold Therapy (RST) offers an innovative approach for infrapopliteal disease. The authors highlight RST’s temporary scaffolding, controlled plaque modification, and enhanced drug delivery without leaving a permanent implant. Two case reports illustrate successful revascularization in patients where standard endovascular treatments had failed or were unlikely to succeed.
Explore New Spur Case Report on BTK CLTI Treatment
We have added new case reports to our website, demonstrating how the Spur System is making a meaningful impact in challenging real-world BTK CLTI scenarios. The cases showcase limb-preservation successes, treatment of heavily calcified infrapopliteal disease, and IVUS imaging that clearly highlight the impact of Spur treatment following predilatation.
